I write because I love the process. In a time when everyone feels pressured to show their existence and respond to everything, writing becomes my way of enjoying the act of thinking. It is not about being seen. It is just about understanding myself.
Reflective Writing
One way to understand myself is to write a reflection. Because reflection is the act of looking back at my experiences and then trying to find meaning in them. But when a piece of reflective writing is published, something changes. It is no longer just a tool for personal thinking. It becomes something others can read, question, misunderstand, and praise. The focus shifts from understanding myself to responding to others.
This noise often disturbs the dialogue between me and my mind. That is why I use poetry as a place to keep my thoughts safe. I can just be myself without worrying if the world gets it, or more than that, without the need to be known.
Choosing Poetry
What matters most in poetry is its emotional essence. But poetry allows someone to say many things without revealing everything. Meaning can hide within metaphors and readers can interpret a poem as far as they are able to.
In the end, I only want writing to remain a process rather than validation from others. Writing without wanting to be known is not running away, nor does it mean that I dislike people. It is my way of protecting my love for writing. In a world that often feels too loud, writing becomes a commitment to the process of thinking itself, just as I said from the beginning.
Happy writing to everyone seeking clearer self-understanding!
